Have you heard about what Amazon is launching Saturday? They will pay you to go shopping, scan barcodes, then order the item(s) from Amazon. You can do it right there in the store...sipping your coffee at Barnes and Noble, or shopping for shoes at Nike. Amazon rewards you with a 5% discount (up to $5).

Is this ethical? Will it put Mom & Pop stores out of business? How often do you "shop" in physical stores, examine the items, then order through Amazon?

I don't feel this is an ethical business technique, but business is business. One has to keep in mind there will be shipping charges place on whatever you order plus the time for the arrival, where you can go home with the purchase from the store.

My shopping is both stores and online, Amazon happens to be my favorite along with other online stores. If I can't find what I am looking for here that's when I resort to online shopping. No I don't feel it will put small businesses out of business, Wal-Mart has already managed that one.

They have great deals and as Giselle says business is.....LOL

Just bought flea meds for Max.......6 treatments 66 dollars.......54 for 3 at the store..
How can anyone pass that up.....?

Sounds like a great deal, did you qualify for the free shipping if purchased at Amazon? I have never received free shipping from Amazon, must be purchasing the wrong items.....

For awhile a 25 dollar order qualifies for free shipping....on items that are direct from Amazon.....

They are still offering the free shipping with $25 purchase or more, however like you mentioned, the key is items direct from Amazon.
