Developers upload templates and name the price they want to sell their templates. When a visitor to the site purchases a template, we keep 12% to cover expenses and advertising. Visitors have the option to buy templates exclusively (template will be deleted from the database) or Non-exclusively (template stays on the database for future purchases.

on an average how many templates get sold and whats the average price of a page template ?

You dont need to be a web designer. As long as you have a quality, unique template that you want to sell, then you can sign up.

I just launched the site about a month ago so I have only sold a few templates. Pricing depends on the quality of your template. I have created a pricing guide:

Whats the different with Non-Exclusive and Exclusive ? (Im a newb)

me and a friend are working on makeing some basic templates to sell via my new hosting site. http://dansgalaxy.co.uk

would i be able to sell them both on my site and yours?

Developers are able to set a Non-Exclusive and an Exclusive price.

Non-Exlusive: If a customer purchases your template, the template stays on our database for future customers to purchase. The template shows how many times it has been bought.

Exclusive: If a customer purchases your template, the template will be removed from our database and never sold again. Customers are willing to pay more for a Unique template that will will never be sold again.

You would only be able to sell the templates as Non-Unique because of the explaination above.

I signed up and I'm trying to upload the template via FTP. I need to know the host and path and also if i use the same username and password to login to Covantage.

Also, I know that your site is new, but I haven't seen a template that has been sold yet. What is the projection of sales in the future and how many visitors do you have a month, week, daily... I typed in website templates in Google and Covantage wasn't on the first pages.

You need to login and upload templates through your control panel.

I have sold a couple templates so far and currently average about 60 uniques a day. I know the site doesnt rank great on search engines so I plan on doing some PPC ads soon.

Hello Gate.

The Covantage Staff reviews all templates that are uploaded. Once they are approved, then they become live on the site.

If you edit the template description at all then it has to be approved again.
