Anyone could help or instruction me how to restore a huge database (mysql - .sql file) with size over than 300MB? I tried with PHPMyAdmin but it failed and not respond always. The zipped size of the file is 250MB (gziped) and over 500 MB when decompressed.

Best way:
1) Install the mysql client package on your computer
2) Determine your current IP address [ http://www.mywanip.com/ ]
3) In the server configuration, allow your IP address to connect to the db
4) Restore to the remote server from your computer

What failed ?

The connection, the restore ?
You don't have many choices here, or to chunk the big dump (mhe...) in smaller parts.
