Thanks Vituosi, but I am not sure I'll have enough time for a much in-deep test.
Nonetheless, I'd like to know where your project heads, so yeah, with pleasure.

Just a side note though:
If I remember well, InnoDB was buyed by Oracle some months ago, and the actual future of InnoDB as an mysql engine was much talked about.
don't know where it is though. But I don't think that Oracle will keep it down his pocket if Mysql take some of it's market share after the Sun's buyout.
As a side effect, a new engine taking most of the features of InnoDB has been added to the list of supported engines: Falcon
I don't know in which state it is right now, but it may be worth a look

Not a problem. I'd welcome any time that you are able to offer, even if it's just a thumbs up or down. I'll send you a PM when the time comes, though it'll be a couple months yet because I'm still writing pseudo code.
