I am interested in knowing if there is a way for a no php mysql knowledge person to easily, so to speak convert a pre exiting database so as to dump it into another pre existing database. I have a recipe script that is php and data base driven, as well as another that has a data base already built with 42000 recipes. As you can see the goal is to merge the larger database into the one that has a few.

You don't need any PHP skill to do that, but you need to understand (1) SQL and (2) the data itself, including the schema of both databases.

If you want it done right, probably. It doesn't have to be a huge job, but it's an intricate one. A database is half data "format" and half the data itself - it's almost certain the source and destination are in different schemas (formats) and some translation will be required.

Look for someone with MySQL ETL skills. It shouldn't take them more than an hour.
