I am looking for a service, but I am not sure it even exists.

I need to host a database and order / status system.

The system I need should:
-Allow me to link from my site to a dedicated login screen where my customers can login securely.
-Allow me to build my own order status system for logged in customers to interact with.
-Allow me to upload changes to the database from a text file.

I don't know if such a service exists. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you,

Frank

You are a bit short in your specs...

A ssh session with a mysql prompt ?
Or a ssl web gateway ?
Or maybe a direct connection via the network to the db ?
Would be the login logic implemented on the "web" server, or should it be present into the db ?

Ok. no problem with that.

Something you would develop, like in point 2, right ?

Aside from the login, I'm also a bit unclear on:
"-Allow me to upload changes to the database from a text file."

If you mean update an existing table, yes -- but it sounds like you'd be maintaining the 'real data' elsewhere - and based on the description, would be stale data on this 'other' db. At any rate, http://younicycle.com would more than fill the bill as it is a reasonably full implementation of PostgreSQL.
