Here is my question:

I am creating a website and I think I will need to use a database for this one. The database will store names, phone #, address and a picture.

I need to know how I can create some kind on menu search that would look like this:

A B C E F G H .... etc

When someone click on the C for example it would list the person names starting C.

That is the first one.

The other one would be like this.

I would need to have a list Menu created that would show up all the music genres of this people: Example:

Music Genre: click
Rock
Pop
Hip Hop
etc
.
.
.

Once the person selects for example Rock it would list all the people that are interested into ROCK music.

Hopefully you can help me.

I would like some help on this, something simple, like using an access database or something.

Use the like function in mysql

You will have to make each "button" in perform a mysql query for the respected letter.

and what database will you actually be using, and what server side code?
