I have a requirement where i need to look into option of building db2 table to store images in mainframe and access them online. Would this be a good design approach and if so then,

1) how should be the table in mainframe

2) how to insert the images into table using cobol programming

3) again selecting the data from table using cobol programming

any other suggestions will be appreciated

I knew there are many other suitable platforms to store images rather than in mainframe. But i posted this query just to know whether there we could store images in mainframe db2 .

As with all databases, It would be more efficient to store filepaths as a text type.
