I recently signed on with a new webhost and a new domain name due to going through a year of free servers going down, unreliability, and just lousy service. For the most part I am very happy with the new host but there's one huge frustration. Every time I've created a new mysql database for an application it fails. Everything is setup right but they still won't work. When I contact support they send 1st the instructions on how to setup a database. When I reply and tell them I already did that I get a reply that they reset the username or the password and it works. Why would they need to reset it if their server had set it up right the first time?

Can anyone tell me why it's failing and what I can do myself to correct it next time? I've asked support to tell me what they did to correct it but my emails to that are never answered. The have paid priority customer service. Could it be they purposely make their MYSQL scripts fail so you get tired of contacting support and buy their priority support? Any help would be appreciated.

THe host is justhost.com. I am pleased that there has been no downtime, the servers are fast I'm just frustrated by not being able to get scripts to work when They're configured correctly. Please excuse me if I gave too much info venting but I'd really like to resolve this so I can fix their mistakes myself. Thanks.

You haven't told us the definition of "won't work" for you. How do you know it's not working? Are the tables deleted? The database deleted? The user not assigned? Unable to connect due to incorrect login credentials? ... "won't work" is not helpful, but leads to an almost-infinite set of possibilities.
