Hi,
I need an embedded DB for a small scale application. The DB is to be deployed on Windows XP/Vista/7/... (windows only)
My main concern is reliability, then price and compitability with OS (including future versions)
Please advise

Regards,
Nir

I personally would go with sqlite.

It's an almost standard by default embedded DB in the mobile world.
Android use it, Symbian (Nokia) use it, Skype use it; I think even the iphone use it.

It's light, platform agnostic, open source and implements most of the SQL92 subset.
