Hi ,

I am new to database world.
I want to create stored procedure that extracts gmt_offset or daylightsaving offset from table t_time_zone

the table looks like

time_zone_id time_zone_nm gmt_offst daylght_svngs_offst mod_dtm mod_user_id
1 SAMOA -11.00 -10.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
2 HAWAII -10.00 -9.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
3 ALASKA/YUKON -9.00 -8.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
4 PACIFIC -8.00 -7.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
5 MOUNTAIN -7.00 -6.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
6 CENTRAL -6.00 -5.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
7 EASTERN -5.00 -4.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM SYSTEST
8 ATLANTIC -4.00 -3.00 8/8/1995 3:00:00.000 PM sphakl
9 NEWFOUNDLAND -3.50 -2.50 3/26/1996 12:00:00.000 AM sphakl

I want to create one more table say t_zone_name
i want to write stored produce that stores the zone name into t_zone_name table depends on the previous table data like EST, PST etc..

it will be great if anybody lends me logic and code ..

Thanks in advance

Raghav
