I been using mysql and it seems to have hiccups everynow and then anyone know of a better DB with less problems and still popular so if i cant handle the porblem someone can? Generally its not bad but as off late been geting several errors.

Probably something YOU are doing incorrectly then rather any inherent problems with MySql.

for Postgre and Berkley - its ok, if you have own server, but if you are lending it - then you will have almost zero choise. -> MySQL.
I've tested a bunch of hosters, but they all had postgresql serie 7 (at least, 8 sometimes) available.
Mysql is more deployed because that 10 years ago, it was less demanding on the hardware than postgresql.
