I cannot figure out how to properly connect my mysql database to dreamweaver in a search bar.

It's around 26000 records that need to be able to be searched online.

Help?! =[ .. -Idiot-

you can't search a database from a website without server code:

ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Python, Perl, ColdFusion etc

It is script code or compiled code that runs on the server and lets you connect to things like databases.

Not a code really, more of a program.

You have to design and code a php script or an application (that reside on a web server) which will receive requests from the net, process them, send it to the db, get the results back from the db, format those results in a understandable format for your search bar and sends them to the search bar.

As far as I know, there is no "magic code" that you simply paste in a file to allow you to do this.
That's the work of a programmer.
