I have a PHP site powered by Siteframe. It is for Writers, Poets, etc. Writers-Pen

I was given these instructions to do in the MYSQL, but when I open MYSQL with the link in my Control Panel called:

Adding the new field in MySQL


There are many ways that this can be done, but I tried to use ... PhpMyAdmin that is also in the Control Panel to accomplish the task...

• Open your database
• Open the table "doc_page_views"
• Add 1 field(s) to End of Table - And press "Go"
• Set "field" to "weighted_rating" (without quotes)
• Set "type" to "double"
• Set "default" to "0"
• Click "Go"

My problem is that I do not know how to use or do MYSQL and I do not see anywhere here that allows me to create a Table ... can anyone show an example or write this so a non programmer or new person can understand it? I need walked through step by step I guess, cause it is too hard to figure out without fear of messing up stuff. I have looked all over for an easy to understand explaination of all this, but can't find it.

When your in phpmyadmin no the left side is the name of your database. It will be directly under the home link. Click on your database's name. Under the solid line there is a Create new table on database 'name'. You can enter your table name and how many fields in there. From there it should be pretty easy.

Who has given you those instructions and what are the desired result? From those instructions it seems as though you are trying to add a hack or something of that nature too SiteFrame (I imagine this is a CMS of some sort).
