hi im a complete newbie and im trying to set up my pc to run and test access databases and access them via web pages. I have set up IIS and tried simple asp pages which work ok but i cant seem to 'connect ' to a database. i have the database in the same folder as the asp page and the pages run ok but when i check the database, it hasnt updated the records. When i edit the asp pages in dreamweaver i get this window popping up and i dont know what to enter in the fields - ftp host and host directory.



i am sorry if these seem like stupid problems but i cant find any solutions anywhere, also would anyone be able to recommend a good book that i could basically work through and start to learn asp and dreamweaver.

by the way the pop up window shows the values i tried and it says it isnt able to connect to the server

change the access to local/network rather than ftp
