It's possible, you just need a script that reads the whole database from Wordpress and re-inserts it in the new format into the Joomla database. If one system stores data the other doesn't you might lose it or have to initialise it sensibly, but this will be things like visit counts and such - the actual articles and dates and such should transfer quite easily.
