Hi I know nothing about SQL. We are currently under taking the updating of our staff magazine to be displayed on our updated Intranet. We have an IT company that are creating a SQL database which will store the stories submitted by our staff, then we the media team will be able to access for editing and then submit to be displayed on the Intranet. However we have a couple of remote sites within our company which do not have PC access so we need to print a handful of magazines to keep them uptodate with whats going on. We currently produce the magazine in MS Publisher.
We are being told that we will cease to use MS Publisher once this is all setup. The database will have a stylesheet that will organise the layout for the screen.
What I mainly would like to find out is when we get the database to bring forward all the stories that have appeared on the Intranet on a monthly period how can we print these out so that they still look professional and in a "magazine layout" rather than just doing screen prints, which is what we are being led to believe is the only option, and can we still insert pictures?
Would anyone be able to enlighten me as to possiblities, and if so some clear instructions as to how I would relay this to the IT company, due to the zero knowledge I have on SQL.
