I'm hoping this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking for a program or database, or something, to use for storing and viewing contact information of my website users, to be used by them as well.

I would like it so they can access and update their info, also as well as be able to find/view the contact info for others.

In short, one big address book for use by the people in it.

You'd be looking for a Content Management System. There are many on the web. I write my own for this type using PHP and MySQL. PHP is the scripting language that shows the information in the web page and MySQL is the database that will store the information.

You can search the web for content management systems. Or look for some tutorials on how to build a contact system. But what you're looking for is a project that can get involved.
