Help!

In past versions of Dreamweaver (6, CX) you worked on the local site, then uploaded it to the server when finished, along with the attachments/links, etc. Dreamweaver 8 gives you the opportunity to work directly on the server. I haven't quite gotten that down yet. Is there a way to set it up the old way - to work on the desktop, then send to server? I run into problems with the images and linked documents.

Yes. Once you set up a site you can define the location of the local files and of the remote server just like before. Then while you work simply use the dropdown of the files panel to select the site and next to that select local view (the options here are local view, remote view, testing server and map view).

I always prefer to work on local copies and then upload.

Let me know if that's not clear.
