I have a MySQL database set up for me.

I know the port, the website, the database name and the login details (username and password).

What do i download to communicate with the MySql database to create new tables and whatnot.

I honestly have no idea when dealing with MySql but am eager to learn. Any help appretiated!

Has the username been granted wildcard host access?

If not you need something that runs on the server. or write your own in whatever server side code you run.

I think so, is the gui like a remote command line acess tool for managing the database which is on the server from my pc?

Its ok, im doing fine now. I downloaded the gui tools pack on the MySQL site and that lets me run the commands once connected to the server, thanks!!!
