I have a table which has names and times for various swims in. I want to create a dropdown menu on a form which just lists the individual people in the database but displays thier name only once. I am unsure of the sql syntax for this or how to search for the answer. (the way i describe stuff isn't always the way other people would!)Please can someone help me.

do you have duplicate data in the table or do you have a series of normalised tables using PK / FK matching?

What database are you using?
