Does anyone know if it is possible to connect Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 to a MySQL database to pull off email address's and member names for an always upto date mailing list, thanks for your time

Without having outlook in front of me to try I believe you can do this by importing through an ODBC data source. You would have to download the ODBC extension for MySQL from their website.

Well you didn't tell us it was a "member optional fortnightly newsletter," only "an always up to date mailing list." I'm sure you can understand how that sounds like spam to a person you've withheld this information from, no?

On the other hand he/she isn't really obligated to divulge their intentions. They asked a simple question and I gave them a simple answer; if you did not believe their intentions were true it is probably better left unsaid.

Personally, if I had explained something wrong, and people thought less of me because of it, this is something I would want to know. The original poster seems to follow this line of reasoning, since he took corrective action when he learned how what he wrote was being perceived.
