Hello,

I've had phpBB forums installed for the past 2 years and it crashed twice ever since, now this time I have no will and idea on what to do. So Im looking for any alternative to it, all I need is something stable, and preferably with better search engine. I know of vbulletin and some other ones but they are not free, and I dont want to pay for forum more than I do for hosting, the website is totally non profit "fan" site.

SMF is one of the best rite now, there is another which is very promising but I can;t remember the name now.

vbulletion is good like you say, probably the best in my opionon there is also mybb.
