I've moved my website to a new server yesterday, as the one we were on was having problems.

Our DNS seems to have propagated and everything is working fine; apart from our Content Management System.

I can log in to the CMS without any hitches and can make new fields, but when I try to generate the content to the actual website nothing happens. It says the content has been generated, and seems to work, but the new fields I put in don't show on the website.

The connection to the MySQL database is fine, as whatever I put on the CMS appears in the MySQL database - it just seems to be the connection to the website. The FTP details are definitely correct.

I know the DNS can take a while to fully propagate everything, but I'm concerned about this as it is the only thing that's not currently working.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I've sorted it now..

The problem was that I didn't set the permissions on the necessary files correctly. They were set to "644", so the CMS didn't have access to write to the website files (I've now set them to "777").

I also didn't set the permissions on the "public_html/" folder (where all my files are placed) correctly.

What CMS do you use? It would help a bit if you tell us which kind you have installed.
