I am trying to install phpMyAdmin on Windows. I am trying to run the automatic setup script. I get this message: Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly.

I read around, and it sounds like something isn't set right in my php.ini file... something to do with session.save_path. BUT I have that set to "c:\php\sessions\" and it does exist and it is writeable.

I'm not sure why it is still having trouble with sessions?

You might have it set to something but do you have it enabled? I'm pretty sure you'll want to check if you can find anything in Apache about sessions as well. If there is something then you'll either need to change 0 to 1, false to true, or remove the # commenting the command.
I really haven't done much server configuration but enough to get around far enough and that's where I would start off.
Could you get me the exact error message? I'm not real sure where to work off of with something is wrong with session.save_path. Let me know if you get anywhere from there. If not we'll figure some other things out.
