this is my first project i am trying to work on and could do with some input about the database creation here goes then

i run an auction site and would like to create an added feature that runs on time scale combined with price drop a reverse auction option.

For example

Say that i place an ad on the site with the lowest i would except for the item then place the start price and the time scale for how long to run the auction for.

The plan is as time goes on the price will drop so much % untill sold or reached the minimum limit as stated.

now here where i need to pick your brains

i need help on how to create the tables for a stopwatch feature so the time scale runs down also the table to enable the price drop by %

thats basically it would be grateful for any help

you just need two columns

number_of_days_active | %_to_drop_by

Then the calculation is done by your script logic.
