I'm very much confused about articles. Say if I've written a article and posted it on my blog and submitted it to Ezine Articles (which is special to GOOGLE) and to other 10 article directories like goarticles which have a good PR and readers, will this be called as a duplicate content?

Maybe, maybe not.

Don't forget there is more text on any given page than the "article" content.

and HOW exactly is "Ezine Article" special to Google??

Ok...I agree with it.

Spcial in the senses...For many keywords, ezine articles are on the top pages of GOOGLE.

What else you would say as duplicate. My vote would be for duplicate content. I agree with chrishirst that its a debatable question and it all depends on how Google sees it.

So..Is it a time waste procedure to submit the single article to multiple article directories?

Probably. I would expect most copies to ultimately wind up in the supplemental index, and not be able to pass much/any link juice.

If you're doing with your blog posts, and most of what's available on your site is available at dozens of others, I can't imagine that bodes well for your blog.

You might not want to stop completely, but it sounds like you could benefit from taking a more diverse approach to marketing yourself.

NO it will not be taken as duplicate content but google will not count or give importance to other articles except ezine.

Some people may negate my point but it is better if you use the same content for not more than 5 sites....

Well, it is all up to you. Google may consider it as duplicate content if you do not include a link back to your blog where that article has been published already.

So, Make sure to add a link back to your main site where article already has been posted each time when you go to submit an article to submission directories and then google may not consider it as duplicate content.

And also the other most important thing that make sure about your article posted on your blog has been indexed before going to submit it to other article submission directories.

When I submit my blog post as an article in the article directories, they are indexed first. So I think I should wait till my blog post gets indexed and then submit it to the other authority sites keeping the link back in the resource box.

Nice strategy adopted by Markov. It calls for a try. However, I'll recommend you to submit different versions of the same articles, with little variation in presentation - choice of words etc - in different article submission directories.

Writing a unique article itself is a very time taking process, then how can one write different versions of the same article. It will be a tedious job.
