Someone wants help incorporating it into an ASP.NET 2.0 site I coded for them with the help of a brilliant graphic designer.
I don't know if the free $10 for customers deal is still going on, he said it was kind of like sales at Dell. They always "end today" and a new one starts tomorrow. Anyway, the free ten bucks comes out of Google's pocket, you still get paid, but your customer doesn't cough anything up. Which means if you sell online, you're still competing against other GC vendors, but if you grab someone's fancy, and have a cheap product, a customer can buy it without paying, and that helps your sales.
That's one of the reasons Dan wanted Google Checkout and not PayPal. The other was "It just looks more professional."
Anyway, it turned out to be
way easier than I thought. Google must be making a big cut, because a monkey could do this.

And for the record, is this forum about Google the company, or Google the search engine? Because I also posted about how you can incorporate Google Books into your web site, which doesn't change your position in the SERPs directly, but makes you more attractive to your end users. If you have a site that talks about books, anyway. Anyway, that can get you quality backlinks which do help your SEO. So there's some overlap. But you can also incorporate Google Videos, Maps, Translations, a News feed, search just within your site, and more, into your site from Google. Is this where I should post about these things?
