BBC is reporting that Google has offered a $30 million prize to the first amateur or professional scientist who can fly a robot to the moon.
To claim the cash, any craft reaching the lunar surface must perform a series of tasks such as shoot video and roam for specific distances.
Google Moon, anyone?
And then if you can do it, you're guaranteed a #1 place in the SERPs, under a huge variety of keywords. You'll have enough cash to buy all the links you want, and lots of quality traffic.
Macromedia (ooops Adobe) Director can fly a robot to the moon. I suggest we mash up a collection of moon shots and mars rovers, send it in and claim the prize...
Who's with me? I'm willing to split the $30M 50/50

That is just a Good Hype For google. I am not saying Google is unwilling to pay that amount because 30 Million is nothing to Google, and It might be working on something..., Googling Universe?

I'm sure there's a new product offering in the lineup. I'm also sure $30 million - and remember, that's USD so it's chump change - is a small price to pay for the exclusive content people bring them back.
