I host a site from my home, and the domain is registered with godaddy. I have the forward setup to my home ip address from godaddy. I noticed that when I have masking activated (not to display my ip) then google does not see my site, but when I deactivate masking then google sees my site without a problem. Is there a way to make sure that my ip does not show up in the browser address bar to make it look more professional and also have google see it at the same time?

use a DNS service such as DynDns and point the host name DIRECTLY to your IP

BTW Using your "home" connection (DSL probably) is NOT ideal for anything more than a very very small amount of traffic and probably is against the TOS of your ISP.
