I got an email from someone wanting to "trade links" with me, and a whole bunch of title and description and html markup they want me to copy and paste into my site. From some jerk I've never heard of before.

I know I can hit the report spam button in my inbox, but I've heard Google takes this stuff pretty seriously? How do I report it to them?

Use SpamCop.
SpamCop has very good contacts database

Open free account and then every time you get spam, you can send it to
SpamCop. They will strip header and send advisory email to Abuse, Admin,
Postmaster etc. attention and warn them about spamming activities by
their services users.
