I made a website for a friend, www.mariascotti.com can't get indexed by google for some reason. I am not using masking from godaddy and the dyndns.com should not prevent google from scanning the site either. The html is not deceptive, and i am not running anything that google does not like. Can anyone suggest anything? What am I doing wrong? I am hosting this site from home, but I don't think that should be a problem.

Here's a couple of ideas for you

Get backlinks for this site. When Google finds links from a known site to a new site Google starts to index the pages.

Also submit a sitemap to Google. The sitemap is in the root directory.

Make sure someone else has links to that site.
Google crawler will find that link and come to visit your site then.

How long have you had the site up? Are you absolutely sure it's not indexed either? It might not be ranking high up but still be indexed.

i know its indexed because if i search mariascotti.com in google nothing shows up. I will try and get links from other sites.

Well of course it's not indexed! You're using a redirect to a Dynamic DNS site. At least put it up on a shared hosting plan with a static IP. It costs like a buck a month for a "site" like yours.

This also has all the earmarks of a scam. Who asks for cash in the mail?

People, before you give the standard "get more backlinks to your site", look at the freakin' site first!

Turn OFF javascript to see what the search engines can see.

get busy on promoting your site. that's some ways that you need to do in order to get indexed

You've got a tonne of issues with the W3C validation.
Go to http://www.w3schools.com/site/site_validate.asp to see the results.

I don't know if that may be the problem nor am I an expert on the subject though I'm sure folks on this site know about it.
What I do know is that I made a mistake on my site that actually made it impossible to verify. When I fixed that, my pages got indexed.
Also, a good site map may help.
I use GSiteCrawler.
