Dear friends
I just noticed two of my new websites got pr2 with about 50% increased traffic;whereas my relatively old website with PR4 remains pr but its inner pages pr updated. No traffic change has been noticed in it.
Any idea whats up with this?

Didn't you say that the PR of some of the pages in your old site changed, but your traffic didn't? I think this shows that PR has little effect on traffic

What Hirst said. If you were marketing your site correctly, your growth will generally be pretty steady (with the odd spike here and there.) So a PR/traffic increase of any size would be strictly coincidental.

Absolutely, PR is based on an equation that uses the number of links in and out of a page, not the traffic. But why is this, well most (not all) traffic is still sent to sites by search engines not other sites, I read a report on this recently but I cant remember the quoted figures (I'll try and find the report again)
