What the effect of PR update on your sites? Did your PR increased or decreased?

Do you happy with PR update or not?

My site PR increased from unranked to PR3.

Different sites did different things.

PR is generally not worth it's space in the toolbar though - it isn't an accurate measure of the search engine rankings and doesn't give any guarantees.

Before people come back with rubbish like "it's good for selling links", if everyone knew how worthless it was, they wouldn't pay for it.

Overall I've seen PR drop in most sites I look after, by 1 in each case. The exception is those new sites that didn't have any are up to 2/3.

your totally right, PR is like bragging rights, it reaps no rewards at all unless you intend on taking advantage of those that do not understand by selling links

There should be a box for "don't know, don't care". Search traffic is down slightly, but I'm measuring week over week in this case so that's normal behavior.

I have no idea what the useless green bar showed before for any of my sites, so rushing off and checking is NOT something I'll be doing.

I noticed no change

PR increased to 3...(after the long wait)

All our sites lost 1 point and one site in G Directory dropped from PR list but still in the bar.

What puzzles me is the drop in backlinks. Our AwStats show visits from sites we never knew
had any links to us and in the last year alone the amount went from 200 to 400 -500 now.

Our PR 1 year ago was 6 (now 4) and 130 backlinks, now 59 and I am sure would like to know
what is going on and what happened to backlinks.

Yea i am pretty much happy with p.r updates my site's pr increased frompr2 to pr3 ,traffic is increasing on my site.

Since my blog at blogspot is still young this is my first page rank update. Obviously, my previous page rank was 0 and now it shows 7. Not bad.

Actually, I can say that, did say that, and am saying it now. I don't care.

Why?

1) Toolbar PageRank establishes nothing and is not a ranking factor.

2) I'm not buying, nor am I selling, links through any method other than Google Adsense.

3) Different datacenters can report different PageRank values.

4) You just told me what it is on at least one datacenter for my blog.

So yeah, I didn't check. Don't know what my PageRank is, couldn't care less. I only care that my traffic levels continue to grow.

What's Ironic about PR is that once you stop worrying about where it's at and caring about what value it has, and you put more focus on creating great content and gaining quality links, is that it actually goes up.

(Mine went up a few levels, not that I care about it though.)

My PR increased from 0 to 2

Well........its not too good to me and i cannot say its bad too as my two sites came up with good PR but one of my site's PR dropped..This PR update was average for me...
