Google still lists the description of my webpages from 5 years ago, 3 editions ago. How can I get those descriptions to change when someone googles my site and I want more up to date information?

The Google spiders dropped by this week and they are still ancient.

I would suggest

I would do what Chris said. You can also submit a change through DMOZ and see if they change it. It's unlikely...but it did work for me (got lucky). However I still use meta "noodp".

Indeed, the best thing to do. Also submit your updated xml sitemap to google.
