Google trying to kill PPP?

Was surfing and came across a blog entry on Bloggerbuster.com about the PPP crowd talking about PPPers suffering another round of loss in PR. Seems the PPP crowd is being taken down to a 0.

PPP is looking at ways to save their business model by doing away with PR as a measurement and coming up with their own way of measuring a blog's value.

PPP crowd reacts to loss of PR.

I think it's wrong for Google to penalize a website's PR simply because their links were purchased through a service. Anyway, most people think that PR means nothing so why should anyone care?

Actually, most people still think PageRank has some meaning when it clearly has none.

I only have three words for the PPP crowd....

"Wahhhhhhhhhhh...wahhhhhhhhhhhh...wahhhhhhhhhhh!!! "

Oh look at us. The big bad Google monster took away our PageRank. So what if we've spent the last 5-7 years trying to manipulate something given to us for free and that we have no entitlement to expect anything from? We're so hard done by. They stole our precious PageRank. Now how are we ever going to sell our worthless crap to the great unwashed? **** YOU, EVIL GOOGLE MONSTER! **** YOU TO HELLLLLLLL-uh!

My youngest nephew is less of a baby than the PageRank obsessed crowd, and he's 17 days old.

You think it's wrong to manipulate search results and Pagerank? You do realize that is called cheating, and cheating it is. Text links that are bought are used to increase a web pages Pagerank & SEO Weight for that keyword or phrase of the anchor text, thus in theory if Google allowed text link sales people with the biggest pockets to just buy their way to the top of search results.

I think it's good stopping people from buying their way to the top.
