Hi all,
I recently emailed google to ask for advice as to why my website is not performing well on google - my website has been online for 5+ years. I was worried that it has been banned or penalized for some reason. I currently have a PR of 5, 250 indexed pages and 35 incoming links.
This is the answer google sent:
*************************************
We searched for your site and found that it is currently included in our search results:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...=mywebsite.com
However, it looks like your page is currently partially indexed. This means that although your page is included in the Google index, our robots have not completely reviewed the content of your site. Partial indexing does not adversely affect your PageRank or your inclusion in the Google index. However, it does mean that our crawlers do not have enough information about your site to provide a detailed title. As a result, your page is listed by its URL in the Google index.
Partial indexing does not mean that there is necessarily a problem with your site, or that it has been penalized or blocked by Google.

Can anyone help because I dont quite understand what they are saying. Also, why do they leave OUT the "www." in the search string as above. When I do the same search, but with the WWW included, I can see my description, website title, incoming links etc etc, but not when I leave OUT the www. (as google did).
Please, can anyone give me some advice. I dont know what to do anymore. I have always tried to "stay on the straight and narrow" with regards to google SEO, but it just doesn't seem to pay off. At one stage, about 6 months ago, I had top 10 rankings for some of my keywords, but they have now dissappeared into oblivion. Someone mentioned the "Florida update" that could have been the reason.
What can I do?? What is google trying to tell me in above email??
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Webbo
