Hi guys.

Just curious...

Why does the revisit tag exist if the SEs (in particular Google) seem to ignore it and just come back whenever they like...?

The "revisit" meta was developed for the Vancouver Webpages own search bot and I don't they even use it anymore.

No Internet SE bot has ever used it and never likely to I would have thought.

It's a handy way to spot the clueless "SEOs" though

That's interesting.

I've foun better results from re-submitting sites and especially with Google and their sitemap tools as they seem to honour your request for a revisit.

Vancouver eh... I'll remember that one but am curious, how did you pick up that particular pearl of wisdom Chris...?
