Issue

Site: mp3-aja.com
Keywords: mp3-aja (#1 position), mp3 codes (page 2).

Whenever I search for these keywords, they used to have good results for my site. Until the last few days, even the main keyword won't show the URL of the website.

I went to check if it was banned, and it wasn't. site:mp3-aja.com shows up over 1,000 pages, including the main url.

I went to google.com/sitemaps/ and it showed an error. URL restricted by robots.txt . I reviewed my robots.txt file and there's nothing blocking it. My XML is working with Yahoo!

Review my robots.txt : mp3-aja.com/robots.txt

Question:

1. What could possibly kicked my URLS off the first few pages of google? It has effected almost every keyword I used to have, and my visitors dropped too.
2. What did I do wrong?

thank you and i'll be happy discussing this.

Your website needs more back links to get more trust from Google. You got 1st position for keyword "mp3-aja" because you have no competitors there. Maybe you experience any Google dance so just wait for a few moment. But I think if you have some good back links, you'll never experience any more google dance.

Thanks for the reply. I never heard of it, will try to research on it, and hope for the best. Anyway, does this dancing take several days? I think this occured in my site about 2 days ago.

There is NO SUCH THING AS THE GOOGLE DANCE ANY MORE!!!!!!!

What you are seeing is perfectly normal fluctuations do NOT do anything other than wait and STOP CHECKING.

URL restricted by robots.txt

If this keeps happening for over a week, contact your webhost as they are blocking the googlebot's IP with a firewall.

It's not a firewall. robots.txt would very unlikely be blocked by a firewall unless Googlebot itself were blocked all the way across the board, in which case nothing would be indexed.

The robots.txt error doesn't indicate a problem strictly with robots.txt; it indicates a problem with both your robots.txt and your XML files. Somewhere in your XML file, you have a URL that is restricted by robots.txt. So you have two options:

1) Find the URL that's restricted by robots.txt and unrestrict it (if it's supposed to be indexed).

2) Find the URL in the XML file and remove it (if it's not supposed to be indexed.)

Simply put, your search engine success will have a very large tie-in to the non-search-engine success of your site. The more people that use your little MP3 player thing, the more they'll tell others about it and the more search engine success in general you'll see. In other words, you have one of those sites that will grow in different directions simultaneously (or as it's known, exponential growth.)

The biggest problem I see with your site (besides the fact that I have no use for it personally, but then again I'm not in your target market) is that it's slow-loading and seems disjointed. If you can, try to get the MP3s/players to load last. It seems like they're taking up a chunk of load time that could be used loading the pages themselves.

It also seems as if you have things (e.g. the shoutbox) that don't fit with the look and feel of the site. Why is that portion white with a whole bunch of colors, and the rest of the site blue?

It's very simple;

the domain name has only been registered for 5 weeks
