I've seen many sites dropping from pr5 to pr3, and pr3 to pr2.
Did google raised the pr required backlinks a little too high this time?

If you read the formula for PR, the total sum of all assigned REAL PR is 1.

So as more pages get added to the index the exported guesstimate to the toolbar will naturally reduce.

Maybe people have stopped pr chasing ? or is that just crazy talk lol ?

Try to get more number of links from high PR sites to increase your PR. BTW, nowadays people are less bothered about the google PR. Concentrate more on traffic and try to earn a lot of money

That's probably the real reason. But my answer would be you're probably watching web sites that have been doing naughty things and got caught.

Yeah, it's the possible reason why some sites dropped their PR..
