For the sake of brevity,

Someone links to you and you don't link back (The best type), or you link to them and they don't link back.

Hey

One way linking is when someone links to your site without you linking to them.

You can get these one way links by submitting to directories, article submission and blogs i'm sure there are a few i've missed but that should get you started.

Now is only one way link usefull. Two way link is when
you link back to who link to you. But it´s history...

This guy has SEO in his name and he doesn't even know what one way linking is! *Gasp*

Anyway - it is where you create something worthy of linking of and someone links to it because they want to. They don't really get anything back in return although if it's a blog or something, it might prove useful to them because they have links to quality sites that their visitors find useful.

Create a USEFUL site that is worthy of linking to, or if you're selling something, provide a great service that people will recommend - that is how you get quality links.

Ways to get one-way links

* Create a useful, interesting web site and other sites will naturally link to it.
* Submit articles to article directories
* Participate helpfully in forums which allow a text link to your site in a signature.
* Locate industry-specific directories and submit your site to them
* Create a blog and get it listed in blog directories.

Like Site A have its link on Site B but site B has not link on Site B

Maybe SEO are his initials, rather than him knowing a thing or two about SEO or linking (It's a long shot though).
