I have heard people talk about knowing when google updates PR and when and how much their site is crawled. How do you get this information. THanks

Google shows up in the access logs so you should be able to get an idea of when google is out crawling and how much time it spends on your site. I showed googlebot a lot on my site early last week. It is still hitting now and then, but it is much slower than last week.

Outside of your log information I do not think there is an accurate way to determin what google is up to.

PR you only find out when yours changes
