I noticed that the PR is showing 0/10 for my site http://www.articlewarehouse.com .
A few weeks ago it was a 5/10. Is this a penalty?

Interestingly, when I type http://articlewarehouse.com , it shows a PR 2/10.

Could any of these have caused a penalty?

1) While playing with setting up a subdomain (ie, http://travel.articlewarehouse.com), I put a 'travel' link from the mainpage to the subdomain (used a re-direct).

2) Someone might have submitted an article, that had in the resource box a link to a bad domain/neighborhood?

3) For a few days, I experimented with a free javascript code (it checks iframe clicks, then writes the web page name to a file, so you can tell where/when people are clicking on ads like adsense). I put it on some article pages, it didnt seem to work, so I removed it.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Carl

I get confused on my sites between http://site.com,http://www.site.com,and http://site.com/index.htm. All would have different ranks on google if they are listed. When promoting I stick to http://site.com but there may or may not be advantages to using the others. With the redirect it's not totally clear what you're saying, does your main page use meta refresh?

I love your site. I used it to get some articles for mine www.bxmag.com to populate my db.
If you were looking at the toolbar, I have noticed that too from time to time. The toolbar is only intended to be an estimate of your PR by using similar algorithms. I have noticed two instances of the bar not working or greying out on me, and then it comes back to life a few minutes later. I think it is the google people revising the algorithms it uses.

PS. I requested Alexa to update your thumb image. They usually take a day.

More people are linking to http://www.articlewarehouse.com than to
http://articlewarehouse.com . In the eyes of a browser, and most programs, the URL without the "WWW" is treated as a seperate URL. That's why one rank is a 5 and the other is a 2.
