If you have something useful and unique, one way links come easily.

I use forum signature link, directory submission and submission in social bookmarking. Also requesting to the owner of free web hosting websites.

Directories and Social bookmarkings will do.. but some are using no-follow attribute.. But as what jamestl2 mentioned above, create a good content so other's will going to link into it naturally..

i prefer dir submission and article submission mostly to get one way backlinks for my sites ...

hey frd .. can u mention some SB sites without No-Follow attribute ? and do we really get backlinks from such high PR SB sites ?

I mostly use article submission, forum posting, directory submission, yahoo answers for getting one way links.

First important thing is to prepare content as good as so that users really love it and bookmark it or self link to your site in this way lot of one-way natural links are possible however its never an easy task but other ways are-Free directory submission...Article Submission, Social Bookmarking, press release, blogging, RSS submission, social networking , discussion forums.......

do articles everyday. pass it on social media marketing sites. i recommend using squidoo or ezine articles. although ezine takes a little while before your article gets approved, it can be worth a try. then you can submit it to bookmarking sites to further spread your links.

Yes,It really help to increase your PR. IT is best Link building method which i use ever.

One way links can be gotten by:
* Creating a useful, interesting web site and other sites will naturally link to it.
* Participating helpfully in forums which allow a text link to your site in a signature.
* Giving away free ebooks and white papers that contain links to your site.
* Create a blog and get it listed in blog directories.
* Write regular news releases and submit them to topic-related web sites

DP's owner Shaun Hogan? Are you sure he visited my blog and read the post? If he did, I'm not aware of it, as he didn't leave any comments or told me or anything.

Submit blog to blog directories, within proper / appropriate category; bookmark every post in different social bookmarking sites (i suggest Digg, Propeller, and Stumbleupon; they really drive traffics!); submit it to blogtoplist and blogtoparea; add image to your post if possible; it increase it searchability.

Create some backlinks!
