I have a new site which I have submitted to google. It has been indexed by google but has no page rank and doesnt give the site description.

the site is www.ejumblesale.net(.co.uk/.com)

Could anyone suggest how I get it ranked.

How long ago did you submit your site to google.

It normally takes quite a while before you will receive a page rank and you homepage normally gets listed within Google first followed by other pages on your site about 2 - 4 weeks after your homepage was listed.

It looks like it hasnt been indexed by Google as they hold no cache of your site...

It normally takes about a month to get your site listed... But even they you wont get a pagerank straight away..

You need to have plenty of sites linking to you.. So it would be a good idea to exchange links with some members at this forum and other similar sites owners.

I submited the site to Google at the beginning of the summer (June) and I have had the googlebot visit my site on a few occasions.

I have started exchanging links something I did find more difficult untill I started up signing up to these forums.

Have you tried using things like LinkPartners, LinkMarket, etc to help you exchange links.

Just work on getting backlinks (using targetted anchortext) and the rest will fall in place.

My 2 cents, stay away from automated link exchange programs. Most of them border on spam, and most "serious" webmasters just ignore automated requests. Your best links will be the ones you actually work for.

Have just started linking to sites, it is very tedious but I have noticed that it is what all the other websites have done.

You will also find many webmasters selling text links on a PR4-5 website for around $5-10 dollars per month. Not a bad deal considering you receive backlinks from a web site with PR and visitors. If you are going to purchase links, make sure the site you buy from is relevant to your product and be sure to use your keyword in the link text. Proad

I have already posted on the exchange links section and have been getting some good links, hopefully I will be able to get indexed although I understand it will take a while, its funny my site is in yahoo and I didnt even submit it but google is proving a bit of a pig.

You don't have to submit your site to quite a few of the major search engines as they will find your sites url when they crawl a site that has linked to you.

Well google has now indexed my site, thanks everyone.
