At the beginning of August, I moved my site from a free host, to a paid one. I updated my submission on DMOZ and submitted another submission off to Google, my site still doesnt appear in the top 249 of the searches for "railways online," when once it was 3rd. Is it possible google hasnt spidered and updated yet, or will it take time for me to get back up, higher?

If the url to your site changed then you have to think about the links that no longer point to your current url. I think the biggest factor in ranking is the number of links pointing at your site.

Well most of the links pointed to my current domain name, which, at the time had a redirect to my freehosting account, but it seems to have dropped off the face of google!

Redirects are bad. It may have been dropped because of the redirect. Google views that as spam. Is your site still indexed by google (site:domain.com to find out)?

Thats probably why, I'll have to work to get it back up! Thanks for your help, It's strange it took Googlr so long to realise that it was a redirect, and only then it was probably a day before I moved to somewhere that doesnt redirect!
