Google has now given my website a More results from mywebsite.com >> link on the SERP. On the Google SERP that I am looking at now mywebsite is the 2nd and the 3rd listing and the only other website that has a more results link is a very large company.

I appreciate Google displaying the More results from mywebsite.com >> link on their SERP very much, but what qualified me for it? I am trying to understand what I did right so that I can do more of it.

So when my website is returned on a Google SERP there are 4 links associated with it including the cached link, the similar pages link, and the More results from mywebsite.com >> link

Incidentally, I recently added a NOARCHIVE metatag so that Google, or any other search engine, will not display cached copies of mywebsite on their own site, but I only did that within the last 24 hours so Google has not found the NOARCHIVE metatag yet. Although, if Google keeps adding links to mywebsite in its SERP I may just remove the NOARCHIVE metatag. All those links under my listing in Google SERP makes me feel important and, I think, it might make my site look more official and better than the other sites, because they do not have the extra link(s).

It just means that more than 1 or 2 pages might be a match whatever generic query you used.

I spent an hour searching for more about how Google, or its algorithm, determines who will get a More results from mywebsite.com >> link and I did find some good information. Based on that information I think I might be able to "plan" to have the More results from mywebsite.com >> appear by the way I write a particular webpage.

Based on the same information, I was not surprised when the More results from mywebsite.com >>, and the 2nd listing for my website, no longer appeared as soon as my website got the #1 spot on the Google SERP. In other words, for the moment my website is #1 on Google for that search phrase and only that #1 listing shows. The More results from mywebsite.com >> link appeared when my website was #2 and #3 for the same search phrase with the #3 listing for my website being indented.

This is because

is because only ONE page from the site is a match for that particular query.

Take a look at -> candsdesign
Note the "More Results" link on #1 & 2 (My own site). #3 & 4 (welovecss). #6 & 7 (Elated). #17 & 18 (HighRankings)

BTW if the search phrase/word you used was a key phrase/word you are optimising your pages for, rather than a generic phrase, having the "More results" link is NOT necessarily a "good thing".
It means that many of your pages are good matches for that query, so you are NOT making best use of your pages for your target phrases.

You are talking about double indexing which most of us use.
It just means optimizing two pages on your site for the same keyword so that you are represented twice in the search engines for the relevant keyword query

The second listing is indented

It is actually a good thing because it is said to increase traffic

Personally, i haven't noted a significant difference and i have several double listings
