to me, it depends on how old your website is, how relevant is it? If other pages of your website already rank high, than new pages will be indexed faster. It also depends on the level of competition.

it depends....somelinks with in press releases are indexed with in minutes and some may take months ....

It depends upon many factors...You cant reply on any single thing to make ur page available in Google.
It also depends upon the website Page Rank as well as its SEO friendliness.

google sees new pages fast specially if its a new post. I have an edit post in my blog and its been a long time still google see the old page.

I submitted the URL of a brand new site that had virtually zero traffic & no links to it, & it took about 2 weeks to appear on Google. Now I've submitted a sitemap, they seem to download that about every 3 days, so as long as I keep that updated, pages now don't take too long to appear.

I experienced before, my new post on my blog begins to apper in google searches after 30 minutes. I pinged after I posted it.
