Why doesn't google update the descriptions of sites? Google indexed my page on the 21st and it hasn't changed the description. This is my code:

It took a while for Google to use my meta description on one of my sites recently. I want to say about 3 weeks? Yahoo was much quicker.

Wait for the next indexing of your website page then the updated description will be seen in cache results.

Well I think it's a normal change from time to time. Just observe your next cache results..

If the search term used does NOT appear in the meta description, it will NOT be used

Google doesn't always show your description as the snippet below your link. It's one of several options they may use. Others could be your description from the DMOZ if you're included or random snippets from your page.

yes i totally agree with chris and main think he is always right but i know google generates description to support your keyword. If your page content does not support your keyword then it wud automatically wud create description for ur search......................
