Yes, getting links does help, dont over do it, just look at your competitors sites and beat them.

lol this reminds me about the Google Bombing of Bush....type in "miserable failure" and "weapons of mass destruction" into google...and voila!

Yeah...it seems to be a super good way to raise rank....I mean you can never see the phrase "miserable failure" in Bush's biography, but it's still no. 1...

But is there any risk in Google Bombing? Like, will google ban you or something? LOL...I don't think google will ban whitehouse.gov

another bomb is "french military victories" Type it in and press the "Im Feeling Lucky" button for the best effect

Ok google bombing is like this. You go to some web forums or blogs or something, and make a link to a site. The text link should be the same with the search term intended. For example, let's use Bush's biography. You make a link to Bush's biography, and make the link says 'miserable failure'. When google sees this link, it will make Bush's Biography's rank in google higher if you type in 'miserable failure'....

ex: <a href="whitehouse.gov">Miserable Failure</a> .... something like that....

If you want to know more, go to wikipedia.org and type in google bombing...

It might be an easy shortcut, but don't overdo this method for SEO spamming......
